SUCCESS STORY

A Journey of Dedication and Triumph. Marcelo Augusto Silva Serrano, known as Marcelo Serrano, born on November 29, 1979, in Nova Lima, Brazil, discovered his passion for soccer at an early age. As a young Brazilian boy, he dreamed of making it big on the field.

In January 2018, Marcelo Serrano was appointed as the head coach and general manager of the U.S. Virgin Islands men’s senior national team. He led the team through World Cup qualifiers, the CONCACAF Gold Cup, and the CONCACAF Nations Cup.

A year later of success with U.S. Virgin Islands national team Marcelo made history as the first head coach of Austin Bold FC, United States. His innovative approach and tactical insights paid off—the team secured the Texas Cup in its inaugural year.

Marcelo emphasized possession-based soccer, teamwork, and discipline. His commitment to developing young talents resonated with players and fans alike.

Marcelo Serrano’s story reminds us that resilience, adaptability, and a genuine love for the game can lead to greatness. His impact extends far beyond the pitch, shaping the future of soccer.
